ABOUT Jacob McGivern
As in Engineer-in-Training registered with APEGA, Jacob supports building and fire code compliance from the preliminarily design stage through to construction completion. Working closely with design teams and building officials, he assists in drawing reviews, code interpretations, hazardous process assessments, Alternative Solutions, engineering judgements, and firestop system design. Jacob brings a collaborative mindset and technical precision to every project, delivering innovative, code-compliant solutions tailored to complex building environments.
QUALIFICATIONS
- B.A.Sc. Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering - University of Waterloo, with distinction.
- Engineer in Training – Association of Professional Engineers, and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA).
- International Firestop Council 3rd party firestop inspector.
- MMAH Provincial Qualifications: General Legal 2012, House 2012, Small Building 2012, Large Building 2012, On-site Sewage Systems 2012, HVAC – House 2012, and Plumbing House 2012.
