Fire Safety Plans
A fire safety plan documents the procedures, equipment, and responsibilities for fire prevention and emergency response within a building.
It is a fire code–mandated document required for most occupancy classifications.
Why It’s Needed
Fire safety plans are required for most existing and new buildings prior to occupancy, particularly institutional, assembly, care, and other high-occupancy buildings, and are updated following renovations, occupancy changes, or fire protection system upgrades.
Our Approach
We prepare and update fire safety plans in accordance with the Ontario Fire Code (or the applicable provincial fire code), tailored to the building’s occupancy, fire protection systems, and emergency procedures, and coordinate submission with the local fire department for approval.
