OUR IMPACT
The Pointe Monorail Station is an existing station on the Palm Jumeirah Monorail in Dubai, UAE, opened in October 2022 as the fifth and newest addition to the network, alongside Palm Gateway, Al Ittihad Park, Nakheel Mall, and Atlantis Aquaventure stations. Situated at the trunk of Palm Jumeirah, the station serves The Pointe, a major waterfront leisure, dining, and retail destination home to Reel Cinemas The Pointe, the Palm Fountain, and an extensive line-up of restaurants along the water’s edge.
Vortex Fire provided peer review services for the station, offering independent third-party assessment of the fire and life safety strategy for a high-footfall transport facility integrated within a landmark retail and entertainment destination. This included reviewing the design against applicable fire safety codes and standards to confirm the strategy adequately addressed passenger evacuation, means of escape, and life safety provisions appropriate to the station’s role as a key transit node for one of Dubai’s most visited waterfront destinations.
